Account & Data Deletion
You can delete your anTask account and associated data at any time. Here’s exactly how, what’s removed, and how long it takes.
Deleting your account is permanent. It removes your profile and the personal data associated with your account from our systems, as described below.
1. Delete directly in the app (recommended)
- Open anTask on your phone.
- Go to the More tab.
- Open Account (your profile) and choose Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and associated server-side data are scheduled for deletion right away.
This is the fastest method and doesn’t require contacting us.
2. Request deletion by email
If you can’t access the app (for example, you changed phones), send us a request from any email address and include the phone number on the account so we can verify you:
Or email privacy@antask.app with the subject “Account & data deletion request.” We may ask you to verify control of the phone number before we proceed, to protect your account from unauthorized deletion.
3. What gets deleted
When your deletion is processed, we delete or irreversibly anonymize:
- Your account and profile (phone number, display name, bio, profile photo).
- Tasks, comments, reminders, and attachments you created that are tied to your account.
- Your teams/projects membership and the seat assignments you own.
- Your device and push-notification tokens.
- One-time verification codes (these already expire within minutes).
Data stored only on your own device is removed when you delete the app or clear its data from your device.
4. What we may keep (and why)
- Shared content: a task you created and delivered to another person may remain in that person’s account, because it is now part of their data.
- Legal, tax & fraud records: limited transaction/records we are legally required to keep (billing is handled by Apple/Google; we hold only purchase identifiers/status).
- Security logs: minimal diagnostic logs may persist for a short retention window and are then purged.
- Backups: data may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before rotation removes it.
Anything we retain is kept only as long as necessary and is protected as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. How long it takes
- In-app deletion: your account is deactivated immediately; server-side personal data is deleted within 7 days.
- Email requests: we action verified requests within 30 days.
- Backups & logs: fully purged within 90 days.
6. Subscriptions & deleting your account
Deleting your anTask account does not automatically cancel a store subscription, because Apple and Google manage billing. To stop future charges, also cancel in your App Store or Google Play account — see our Subscription & Refunds page. If you own a multi-seat plan, remove attached numbers before deleting so co-users aren’t left without notice.
